Kona is out of the loop! This website has no information for events in this area not even restaurants for the Eat Local week…
And Honaunau seems to be crawling with natural foods fans! But mostly they are busy farmers (like I am) and no one I know has time for organizing a South Kona group.
,I certainly don’t have the time. Living in Honaunau, I travel to events as far as Kailua-Kona, and occasionally to Waimea (for example the Anna Ranch potluck) but otherwise, the events and meeetings are simply too far away physically.
What to do??

Esta,
Yes, I guess no one emerged as a community leader to engage restaurants and markets in Kona, and those of us in North Kohala and Waimea have our hands full coordinating this area. It would be great to put together a Kona team for next year- lets look for helpers!
Aloha, Andrea
